I am Will Dudley, a guitar player lucky enough to be able to sing. I play a Guild D-50 or a Gibson J-100 in concert, or a Gibson ES 335.
I was born on an Air Force Base that doesn't exist any more; I was in Vietnam in 1972 and 1973 and in the Persian Gulf in 1974 during the OPEC oil embargo. I married my first sweetheart and was widowed at twenty two. While living in Tennessee during the eighties, I visited and played music in every state. I stopped and stayed in the mountains of southern Colorado, and this has been my home since the mid nineties. I write songs and sing standards as well. The songs are on itunes, please download a few. I have an English degree from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado. If you ask me, and pay me the worth of a musician who loves his work, you can hire me. I play music at dude ranches and resorts and hotels and rodeos and dinner theaters and coffee houses, halls and bars and private events. The dude ranchers and resort owners seem to like to see me coming up the road, cause I get asked back over and over. I work with creative artists from all over the country, and was crazy enough in 2001 to ride a horse into the Arizona Biltmore while singing a Gene Autry song (Ridin' Down the Canyon), and smart enough to get paid real well for it. My name is Will Dudley. I'm not related to Dave Dudley, but I can, will and have in the past sung Six Days on the Road.
